Dr. Sabrina Donzelli

Dr. Sabrina Donzelli is a specialist in Physical and Rehabilitation medicine, she is also a medical statistician, currently working as Research Director at the National Scoliosis Center of Fairfax in Virginia US. She is also a PhD candidate at Utrecht UMC exploring the role of prediction modelling in spine diseases. Sabrina will become the SOSORT President in May 2024. SOSORT is a Society dedicated to scoliosis conservative treatment. She is a recognized expert in the field of scoliosis and spine deformities non-operative treatment with various publications and more than 10 years of clinical experience.

Dr. Wagih El Masri

Dr. Wagih El Masri Hon. Clinical Professor of Spinal Injuries (SI), Keele University & Emeritus Consultant Surgeon In Spinal Injuries at The Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic (RJAH) Hospital Oswestry UK. Dr. Wagih El Masri trained between 1971 & 1983 in the Oxford group of hospitals, Guys Hosp. London, Stoke Mandeville Hospital and the USA. He obtained the first accreditation in the fields of Spinal Injuries and Allied Surgical Specialities in 1982. Appointed Consultant Surgeon in Spinal Injuries at the Midland Centre for Spinal Injuries, the RJAH Orthopaedic Hospital in 1983. He treated 10,000 patients with Acute Traumatic Spinal Cord Injuries and took full responsibility for the lifelong monitoring and care of 3000 of these patients. He published over 145 manuscripts.

Safi Ullah is a Medical Research Scientist. He currently serves as a Research Scientist at CytoAstra LLC, a role where he merges his expertise in engineering with his passion for healthcare innovation. At CytoAstra, he is part of a visionary team developing a cutting-edge medical device. Specifically, Safi focuses on utilizing photoacoustic flow cytometry to detect circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in human blood, with a particular emphasis on melanoma detection. This groundbreaking technology promises non-invasive early detection and monitoring of melanoma, a significant advancement in cancer diagnostics. He was formerly Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at UAMS where he led research studies at the Orthopedic Biomechanics Research Lab. His investigations spanned a range of orthopedic conditions, from lumbar spinal stenosis to total hip arthroplasty, demonstrating his commitment to advancing musculoskeletal healthcare. Safi Ullah graduated with a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, specializing in control systems and statistical signal processing in 2021. With a diverse academic background, he has taken on dynamic roles in both academia and industry.

Matthew Potts

Matthew Potts is the Clinical Director of the Dorsi Spinal Institute, leading clinics for non-surgical management of spinal deformities such as scoliosis and hyper-kyphosis. The institute has centres in Marylebone, London, Nottingham, and Italy, reflecting Matthews widespread influence in the field. Leadership: Beyond his clinical practice, Matthew serves as the Chair of the Clinical Advisory Board at Meloq AB, he is the chief spinal consultant to Sensor Medica, ScoliBrace provider for ScoliCare Australia and he is also a member of the International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, contributing to the advancement of the field on a global scale. Academic Contributions: Matthews academic contributions are significant. In addition to published works, he serves on the editorial board of international journals CICRJ & Rehabilitation Science and is the Editor of the Open Journal of Medical Images and Case Reports. His written work extends to the public sphere with a #1 Best-selling book titled The Alchemy of Wellbeing. Current Research: Matthews current research focuses on the innovative use of composite materials and the application of AI in wearable exoskeletons.
